The Chase Bingo is a major draw at Gala and actually among other TV themed rooms (like Emmerdale), with official artwork and photography from the hit quiz show. This is a 90 ball game, which is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Tickets start at 5p.
Not content with having bingo rooms for Deal Or No Deal, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, Gala Bingo are back with yet another TV inspired bingo game. Their latest room is The Chase Bingo room and it's exclusive to the site. It's a traditional 90 ball game but there's a twist at the end when the full house winner gets to take on The Chaser.
- Type Of Game: 90 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 10p a ticket
- Open: Various Times in TV Specials
- Jackpots: The Final Chase Jackpot (31 Calls)
- Extras: The Chase Bonus Round for full house winner
- Special Features: The Chasers provide the bingo calls
How To Play The Chase Bingo
Gala Bingo have put together a video to show you how The Chase Bingo works. For the most part the game is a 90 ball one with a one line, two line and full house winner. However, if you win a full house then a bonus feature triggers. In the bonus game you'll be up against The Governess, The Sinnerman, The Vixen, The Beast or Dark Destroyer. The Chaser will offer three cash prizes and it's up to you to select the one you'd like to win. After that the chase is on to answer questions.
However before you get too excited, the bonus game is not based on your own general knowledge. The feature game results are based on randomly generated sequences so it's a pot luck bonus round. For us that does detract a little from the game as it'd be really cool to use your knowledge to play against The Chaser - but the reality is that it's probably too difficult to do.
So is The Chase Bingo any good? Aside from the bonus game it's a standard 90 ball room, but with The Beast doing the bingo calls. When we dropped in there were over 50 players and tickets were just 5p each - which we think is good value. Sadly there's no sign of Bradley Walsh at all within the game - we'd have loved to have seen some of his funniest clips such as the classic Fanny Chmelar question and Dick Tingelar. On the plus side you do get to see the bonus game in action and it does add something extra to play.
Since launching The Chase Bingo back in 2016 Gala have added a slot and Slingo version of the game. In addition the game has been pushed into the TV Specials room alongside Emmerdale Bingo and In For A Penny. This means that you can now only play The Chase Bingo games at selected times of the day - the other themed games play at other times. Out of all the TV show themed games at Gala it's only Corrie Bingo that still features as a standalone room.
